«Russian in International Tourist Business»
(course duration – 14 days)
This course fits best for those, who work in the tourist business abroad and need the knowledge of Russian for business communication and development of sightseeing programs for Russian-speaking tourists. In this course, you will also improve your conversational Russian and get to know the culture and traditions of Russia. Practical trainings, developed by experienced instructors of the course and complemented with visits to museums and exhibit centers of Ivanovo, will contribute to your academic success.

70 academichours. Course duration – 14 days. 7 classes a day.
Each class lasts 45 minutes.

Schedule:

Classes will be held every day from Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday – out-of-classroom activities

- Russian language for professional communication in tourist business;
- Advancement of Russian language proficiency for business purposes and everyday communication;
- Introduction to culture and traditions of Russia.

How to apply:
|
1. You need to fill out the Application Form Rus / Eng / Fr and send it with a copy of your passport to fis@ispu.ru no later than two months prior to the beginning of the course. You must mail us a copy of the first page of your passport with the date of birth. Your passport must be valid for at least 1.5 years after you enter the Russian Federation.
2. Scan your passport and send the scanned document to fis@ispu.ru or fax it to (4932) 269-805.
3. After we receive the above mentioned documents from you, we will send you a copy of Invitation via email. Upon receiving the official Invitation, you must contact the Consulate of the Russian Federation in your country and provide them with the copy of the Invitation to apply for a visa. We can send you the original of the Invitation if necessary.
4. You must be ready to provide 3 copies of one photograph (3x4 cm.).
5. When your visa is issued, you must confirm your intention to attend our Course by email fis@ispu.ru or by fax (4932) 269-805.
6. After you have purchased an airline or a train ticket to Russia, you must notify us about the date, place, and time of your arrival by email fis@ispu.ru or by fax (4932) 269-805. You need to provide us with your arrival information, for example the name of the airport you fly into, the name of the airline, or train number and the city it arrives to, one or two weeks before the date of your arrival. We will be able to meet you in an airport or a train station only if we know your arrival information in advance.
*THIS IS IMPORTANT! You must register in the Department of the Federal Migration Service during your first three days of staying in Russia.

At the end of the course, all students will take a test

Certificate:

By the end of the course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Ivanovo State Power Engineering University
|
|
Materials:
|
· Students will be supplied with all course materials. Audio, and video materials, as well as software applications will also be available at ISPEU.
· A special feature of the course is an active use of slides, films, and video presentations created by students and ISPEU faculty on various aspects of Russian history and culture.

The program includes practical trainings in conversational Russian, lectures, and practical trainings in the museums of the city.

Program of Out-of-classroom Activities (not included into the course fee):
|
· Tours to the cities of the Golden Ring of Russia (tentative cost is from 600 to 1000 roubles);
· 1-2 day trip to Moscow;
· Visits to museums and exhibits in Ivanovo;
· Entertaining program in ISPEU (musical show);
*The Program of Out-of-classroom Activities is tentative and can be altered upon your request.

Lodging and Dining:
|
· The students of the Course will stay in ISPEU dormitories and hotels of Ivanovo.
· Meals will be provided in ISPEU cafeteria, cafes and restaurants of Ivanovo.

Additional Services (not included into the course fee):
|
· Medical insurance for a non-resident of Russia costs 780 roubles.
· We can meet you at an airport in Moscow:
- by car (3 persons; 1000 roubles per person);
- by van/ mini bus (12 persons; 600 roubles per person).
· We can meet you at the railway station in Ivanovo:
- by taxi (120 roubles);
- by van/mini bus (15 persons maximum, 300 roubles)
· When the Course is over, we can take you to an airport in Moscow or the railway station in Ivanovo.
